This course follows Avid’s Pro Tools Fundamentals II and Pro Tools Fundamentals II curriculum. The Pro Tools Fundamentals I (PT101) course introduces fundamental Pro Tools concepts and principles, covering everything an individual needs to know to complete a basic Pro Tools project, from initial setup to final mixdown. The Pro Tools Fundamentals II (PT110) course expands upon the basic principles taught in the Pro Tools Fundamentals I (PT101) course and introduces the core concepts and techniques students need to competently operate a Pro Tools system running mid-sized sessions.
Upon completing this course, students will master essential aspects of audio production using Pro Tools, including session creation, navigation, and editing in a multi-track environment. They will effectively manage complex projects with numerous tracks and input/output channels, configure appropriate software and hardware settings, and integrate virtual instruments and specialized plugins. By employing advanced recording methods like capturing multiple takes in succession and utilizing techniques such as Elastic Audio and MIDI Real-Time Properties, they will achieve desired tempo and rhythmic effects. Additionally, students will apply automated mixing strategies for selective post-production tasks and be fully prepared to sit for the associated certification exam.
