Building on "The Editor's Guide to DaVinci Resolve" course, this advanced course offers immersive, hands-on lessons that will equip you with the skills to edit interviews, dramatic scenes, documentary footage, and music videos using both the Edit and Cut pages in DaVinci Resolve. You'll master the DaVinci Resolve Speed Editor, create stunning visual effects, mix professional-quality audio, and prepare your final film for online distribution, broadcast television, or streaming platforms. By completing this course, you'll be fully prepared to take the exam.

Course outcome

By completing this course, students will master advanced video editing workflows used by professionals worldwide. They will gain expertise in media management, efficient project organization, and advanced editing techniques such as multicamera editing and dynamic trimming. The course also covers compositing, animation, audio mixing for various sound formats, and subtitle management for multilingual projects. Finally, students will learn to deliver finalized content tailored for online distribution, broadcast television, and streaming services.

Prerequisites:

Knowledge: Basic Computer Literacy: Ability to navigate operating systems (Windows, macOS, or Linux).

Experience: Although no specific prior experience with video technologies or Blackmagic DaVinci Resolve software is required, it is advised that students first complete “The Beginner’s Guide to DaVinci Resolve” course to prepare for this course.

Hardware: A supported Blackmagic DaVinci Resolve computer

Software: Blackmagic Design DaVinci Resolve free software license (or studio license)

Access: Internet access - a stable fiber connection of at least 10 Mbps up and down speeds is recommended.

The course is held remotely in a virtual classroom. All lectures are recorded and are available as reference material for two weeks after course completion.
