This intensive course will give you the basics of Unreal Engine 5 with a focus on game design. During the course, you'll gain insight into all the powerful tools and features, such as the new Lumen global lighting system and UE5's new Nanite virtualized micro polygon geometry system.

The primary goal of the course is to equip you with the technical skills necessary to master the fundamentals of computer game development. The final stage of the course will be tailored to your personal vision of creating your own computer game.

In this course, you will learn the basics of all critical UE5 elements while developing your own computer game in third-person view.

_{Course contents}
You will start building from scratch and receive guidance on how to create your own story, market your game properly, design game levels with Blueprints and visual scripting, manage and create Materials. You will implement sound and music into your game and breathe life into your project by inserting Unreal's objects and characters via Quixels, Megascans and Metahumans.
Upon completion of the Unreal Engine course, students will be able to demonstrate a range of knowledge, skills and competencies that include:
^{Deep understanding of the principles of the game engine along with an overview of the Unreal Editor.}

^{Explore multiple material techniques and related areas.}
^{Introduction to lighting: exploring how to control lights and edit their properties and learning how to illuminate hero objects using various lighting techniques.}
^{Work with the Unreal Engine's movie sequence creation tool, Sequencer.}
^{Use the landscape tools to sculpt, paint and apply foliage to landscapes.}
^{Use the foliage tool to quickly paint or erase sets of static meshes; use the basics of animation to create real-time and linear media.}
^{Understand and learn how to write scripts using Unreal's Blueprints.}

What is included in the price?

All materials needed to complete the course are included in the course fee. This includes course literature, exercise assignments and fees for the certification exam.

The course is held remotely in a virtual classroom. All lectures are recorded and will be available as reference material for two weeks after course completion.
